US Navy Common Display System (CDS) Project

Initially, over 1,600 model 4424CDS displays were supplied to the U.S. Navy for use on destroyers and cruisers against a total quantity, which is much larger and still to be defined. These displays are rugged shipboard 24” (1920 x 1200) color LCD monitor (4424) designed to meet MIL-S-901D Grade A, Class 1 shock, severe shipboard vibration IAW MIL-STD-167-1 Type I, and EMI IAW MIL-STD-461E, along with the other normal shipboard requirements. This unit is designed to fit in the CDS console in configurations for 1, 2, or 3 displays.
